The 7 Day Mask Challenge || Week One || Day 5

It’s hard to believe that I’m already on my Day 5 post of The 7 Day Mask Challenge, when I committed myself to the cause last week I wasn’t sure how great my actual dedication would be.

And well, here I am.

Going into the last 3 days of the challenge I’m using masks that are a little more nourishing and firming to follow-up and free the detox mask I had did the other night. The mask I’m going to review today is one that I’ve actually tried before, and obviously loved. It uses one of my favourite ingredients that also happens to be the primary ingredient in my AM moisturizer, the Kiehl’s Pure Vitality Skin Renewing Cream.

Although right now we’re going to dive into the Sheet Mask up for discussion…

Innisfree It’s Real Squeeze Manuka Honey Mask

As per usual I kicked off the night with my evening routine by removing my makeup with the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Botanical Cleansing Oil, there’s nothing like the scent of Lavender before bed. I then got myself comfortable in bed and applied my Sheet Mask. To understand this mask more let’s take a look at some of the things the retailer has to say about their product.

Retailer Description:

  • Manuka Honey from New Zealand’s Manuka Flowers have abundant nutrients for healthier skin,
  • The Jeju Green Complex consists of Green Tea, Cactus, Camellia Leaves and Orchids to keep the skin healthy,
  • The triple layer sheet has long-lasting effects so that the essence can gradually be absorbed into the skin.

Now if there is one key thing I like about the Innisfree masks opposed to the Etude House masks is that the sheets used are much different in their level of comfort. The Innisfree triple-layer sheet is thick and holds the essences for comfortable absorption where as the ultra-thin sheets used by Etude House let the product run wild and messy.

My 15 minutes with the Innisfree It’s Real Squeeze Manuka Honey Mask was comfortably spent and I could feel the Jeju Green Complex delivering the nutrients into my skin. Once I removed the mask I noticed greater radiance and soft, smooth skin that left me smiling before tucking into the sheets.

Additionally, the absorption speed of the remaining essence once the mask is removed is quite fast meaning that there’s no long wait time before continuing with the remainder of the nightly routine. This is always a bonus!

Would I use this Sheet Mask again?

100%, this was my second time and I certainly see myself grabbing it off the shelf at M Brand Shop again when I feel it’s necessary.

Would I recommend it?

Absolutely, especially if you’re looking for a nice mask to relax with that features Manuka Honey and its’ benefits.

Overall I give the Innisfree It’s Real Squeeze Mask a 3/5 in its category.

Tonight I’ll be moving onto a new-try, the Etude House Pearl Mask, and I mentioned earlier in this post that I’m not the biggest fan of Etude House so let’s see how this goes over. However I’m always open to trying new things and broadening my horizons so I don’t see the harm in trying something Pearl related at least once. I mean, it could be a real treat after all right?

If you’re reading from Toronto stay dry out there tonight and if not, I hope the weather is better wherever you are.

Stay Dry,

pG. =D
